In class on this day we had a look at how a modern Australian composer used ideas from a Beethoven piano piece to create a whole new piece. The thing that stood out to me was how the composer developed to the complete theme, rather than beginning with the complete theme and breaking and developing it. I would use this same idea as the introduction to my tune.
